THE FUTURE OF WORKPLACES
Integrated Final Year Project
The lack of collaborative spaces has not been addressed to further develop it. Glass Box has redefined the cultureĀ of workplace collaborative spaces and designed for workers of different trades to conveniently access into this specialised and personalised working environment.
The concept is to blur the boundary between each workspace by giving the workers privilege to get on the platform whichĀ is also known to be a work desk. In this case it will further enhance the communication and pushes its limit to increase potential collaboration

ā
The issue falls in the lack of proper collaborative spaces.
The concept is to redefine the culture of workplace collaborative spaces.
To control the buffer between the programs while allowing flexibility, and the privacy that they need.

DP ARCHITECTS
Internship
I had a really enjoyable time working for 3 months as an intern in DP Architects

Was part of two government projects and one of each was HomeTeamNS Khatib, and
I was given an opportunity to tag along with one of the Senior Architect to do a site visit .

Combination of point and slab block (hybrid)
Point block - For residents that needs their privacy
Slab block - To promote frequent engagement

FUTURE HOUSING FOR SILVER GENERATION
Project 2
Throughout the years, there is a disconnection within the high rise built up estate, due to the lack of vertical community engagement.
The design intent was to create a smaller community engage through individual units and skyterraces by having:
Smaller community clustered in few blocks;
Overlooking from individual units to their small community,
ā
At the same time, privacy were still taken into consideration.

SMART SHADING SYSTEM
Environmental Science Studies
Integrated overseas sun shading system into local building

The sun shading device was inspired byĀ Al Bahar Towers, whichĀ I found the location of the building was similar to the local climate. I attempted to integrate it into local context by adding these sun shading system around the common areas .Ā
As the sun rises in the morning in the east, theĀ shading system along the west of the building will all begin to close and as the sun moves around the building, that whole vertical strip of shading system will react according to the direction of the sun .

SCARS IN THE GROUND
Primer 2
My first architecture project that consist of a composition of spaces and the circulation through these 3 spaces, that manipulates light and materiality to heighten the user's senses.
And most importantly, a piece of architecture, that tells us a story.

Zone 1 (Confusion)
Tapered wall guiding their eyes and catch their attention of the memorial entrance, I also tilted the wall and make it slant so that its uncertain.
Zone 2 (Perseverance)
In order to persist, I created an obstacle along the ramp and slow them down from walking down the ramp fast.
Zone 3 (Relief)
I created a big void to allow excessive amount of daylight to pierce through.

UNLOCKING THE FIBONACCI CRYPTEX
Primer 1
The cryptex model aims to show expression and concealment
It is being strategised by the expression of big planes to conceal the volumes one at a time.
As a result, the ability to expose only four out of fiveĀ volumes at a time was evolved through the design process,
therefore the model demonstrate it's concealment from every angle.

[AFTERMATH]-CURATED BY ARCHITECTS
The conceptualisation of the 'Aftermath' exhibition was streamed-lined and decided that the artworks selected and exhibited should be grounded by three main themes - Reconciliation, Reflection and Remembrance ; To reflect the thoughts of the surviving citizens in the aftermath of world war two.
The aim of the exhibition aims to share and understand the darker years of our history with the public and how it could possibly steer our future in a positive direction.
This project taught me more about working in a team, as compared to Primer 1.
